Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is commonly missed or misdiagnosed, as well as treated incorrectly. There is a perception from the public and media of what OCD is, including a love of cleaning and organization. However the reality of OCD is that it includes obsessions representing many subtypes, from aggression, death, existential, relationships, sexual orientation, gender identity, and more. Many clients fear sharing their scary, intrusive thoughts and some even receive treatment that causes more harm than good. This workshop will review the diagnostic criteria for OCD, what it really looks like and recommended treatments.
