(Pre-Recorded, Available All Month Long!)
Therapeutic Rapport in a counseling relationship is identified as one of the most important factors in a positive outcome for clients, this, only second to a client’s own motivation to change. We are taught phrases like unconditional positive regard, active listening, communication skills, and validation. We talk about being trauma informed when creating an environment that allows people to feel safe and heard and opens the door for them to change. This training will dive into Dr. Siegel’s four S’s, Safe, Seen, Soothe which leads to Secure attachment. He talks about the importance of the four S’s for children so they can develop into healthy and confident adults. We will look at how to integrate the power of the four S’s in sessions to create a therapeutic rapport and bond that allows the client, child or adult, the space and a healthy therapeutic relationship so they can work on healing and move toward earned secure attachment.
