Please join us for Lobby Day 2025! We are so excited to bring everyone together to advocate for behavioral health in Nebraska.

Lobby Day will officially begin at 8:45am at the Capitol Rotunda. At 9am, we will all visit the upper level of the legislature together, to be recognized by the Legislature. Then a short training will be provided, and packets of information will be handed out.

Please wear green or purple, as these colors are associated with mental health and substance use recovery. Pins featuring the NCA logo and "mental health matters" will be handed out to participants.

Please allow 15-20 minutes to find parking and get inside the capitol.

Visits with Senators will end by noon.

Jen Spencer, LIMHP, LADC, CCTP, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist Presents: Utilizing the Four S's to Build Therapeutic Rapport

    (Pre-Recorded, Available All Month Long!)

Therapeutic Rapport in a counseling relationship is identified as one of the most important factors in a positive outcome for clients, this, only second to a client’s own motivation to change. We are taught phrases like unconditional positive regard, active listening, communication skills, and validation. We talk about being trauma informed when creating an environment that allows people to feel safe and heard and opens the door for them to change. This training will dive into Dr. Siegel’s four S’s, Safe, Seen, Soothe which leads to Secure attachment. He talks about the importance of the four S’s for children so they can develop into healthy and confident adults. We will look at how to integrate the power of the four S’s in sessions to create a therapeutic rapport and bond that allows the client, child or adult, the space and a healthy therapeutic relationship so they can work on healing and move toward earned secure attachment.

This is a pre-recorded presentation, which you will receive access to once you have registered. Information will be sent via your registration email, including the video link, quiz link, and handouts. Please complete the quiz included in your registration email by no later than 5pm on March 31st, 2025 to receive your CE certificate. CE certificates will be sent automatically when you complete and pass the quiz (8/10 correct). You may take the quiz as many times is necessary to pass.
